Is City 20 Coming to Console (PS5, Xbox, Switch)?
Is Rogue Waters Coming to PS5 and Xbox?
Unfortunately, Rogue Waters is not coming to PS5 or Xbox at this time. The game will remain a PC exclusive for now, with no clear explanation from the developer or publisher as to why it’s skipping consoles. Given Ice Code Games’ history—having never released a game on PS5 or Xbox—the chances of seeing Rogue Waters on consoles seem slim. However, it’s not entirely out of the question. If the game gains significant popularity, there’s always a chance the developers may consider porting it to other platforms. After all, publisher Tripwire Interactive has successfully released many titles on consoles in the past. That said, if Rogue Waters does make its way to PS5 or Xbox, it will likely take some time. For now, PC players are the only ones who can set sail in this tactical rogue-lite adventure.
What is Rogue Waters?
Rogue Waters is a tactical rogue-lite where you take on the role of Captain Cutter, out for revenge against the notorious Blackbone. Each time you play, your weapons and gear reset, but you’ll keep upgrading your ship, skills, and crew as you go.
The game has a pirate crew system where you can recruit members from different classes, upgrade their abilities, and manage their health between battles. Combat takes place both at sea and on land, with each run offering new challenges, enemies, and treasures thanks to its ever-changing, procedurally generated world.
Naval battles start with cannon fire, allowing you to disable enemy ships before boarding them for up-close combat. You can even call upon legendary sea creatures like the Kraken or a Mermaid to help tip the odds in your favor.
With every run, you’ll improve your strategy, enhance your crew, and upgrade your ship as you work your way closer to taking down Blackbone once and for all.
